David Lawrence is the executive chef and owner of 1300 on Fillmore. At a young age, he began moulding his culinary skill-set with the likes of Gordon Ramsey at one of London’s most acclaimed restaurants, Le Gavroche. Since then, David has had an interesting path, winding thru NYC, Atlanta, San Mateo, and now he resides right in the heart of San Francisco. Along with his beautiful and intelligent wife Monetta, they settled into the Fillmore district five years ago and together opened 1300 on Fillmore. His culinary style adds sophisticated techniques and California ingredients to down-home Southern cuisine. The result is beautiful layers of harmonic flavors in every dish. David is also an avid cyclist, runner, and all-around athlete. On occasion you’ll even find him on a local pitch with a soccer ball, or glued to a television cheering on Chelsea.
